Frequently Asked Question!

The recommended ratio of perlite to soil in 1:2 respectfully. example; 1 cup of perlite to 2 cups of soil. Some may do a 1:1 ratio how ever this method requires more watering and is not recommended if you are in a dry area.

Perlite is an amorphous volcanic glass that has a relatively high water content, typically formed by the hydration of obsidian. It is an industrial mineral and a commercial product useful for its low density after processing. That’s right IT’S NOT PLASTIC IT’S ALL NATURAL!

Perlite is used to aerate the soil. It allows air pockets for root systems for oxygen and allows  roots to grow through the soil freely. Without perlite, consistent water can cause soil to become compact and inevitably kill your root system due to lack of oxygen.

Seaweed has been used in many forms, mostly liquid yet very rarely used as a medium. Composting allows us to freely use seaweed in our garden without the worry of burn as the material has fully decomposed and turned into a nutrient rich medium which comprise of many important micro-nutrients that plants need to be strong and healthy.

This product can be applied as mulch, however we recommend blending in with your soil when doing your soil prep. This method allows direct feeding to the root system. Also seaweed compost has proven to be most efficient when germinating seeds.

Definitely! This product was created to provide the full organic experience with exceptional results. This can also be used combined with peat moss or other soil base mediums if you wish.
